Three ways tours are typically arranged
Most guests book standard tours with no deposit. Custom trips and private transfers may follow slightly different terms, and those are always confirmed directly.
Custom or multi-day trips
For longer custom itineraries or multi-day trips, a small deposit may be requested to confirm the booking. If applicable, this is stated clearly in your quote.
Private transfers
Standalone private transfers (for example, Da Nang airport to Hoi An, or Hoi An to Hue with stops) may require advance confirmation. Terms are shared directly when you ask.
How payment works
Cash at the end of the tour, USD or VND
Most private tours can be paid at the end of the tour day, either in US Dollars (USD) or the equivalent amount in Vietnamese Dong (VND).
For travelers who prefer to carry less cash, PayPal pre-payment can be arranged on request. A pre-payment of up to 20% of the tour price is offered with no additional fee. Pre-payments above 20%, including full pre-payment, include a 4.4% surcharge to cover PayPal transaction and bank charges.
For custom multi-day trips or private transfers that require a deposit, the deposit is paid via a PayPal invoice. The remaining balance is then settled in cash (USD or VND equivalent) at the end of the tour.

Cancellation
Cancellation terms by booking type
Standard tours have no deposit, so cancellation is straightforward. Where a deposit applies, the refund schedule below is the default — variations are always written into your individual quote.
Standard private tours
No deposit is required, so cancellations made in advance carry no charge. A short WhatsApp message to let me know is appreciated, especially if your dates change close to the tour day.
Custom or multi-day trips (when a deposit applies)
- Full deposit refund: cancellations made 30 or more days before the tour start date.
- 50% deposit refund: cancellations made between 14 and 29 days before the start date, unless the slot can be re-booked.
- No deposit refund: cancellations made within 14 days of the start date, or in the case of a no-show.
Private transfers
- Full refund: cancellations made 14 or more days before the pickup date.
- 50% refund: cancellations made between 7 and 13 days before pickup.
- No refund: cancellations within 7 days of pickup, or in the case of a no-show.
Weather or unexpected events
If safety or weather affects a tour day (for example, flooding or a storm warning), the priority is to reschedule rather than charge a cancellation fee. Specific options are discussed directly when this happens.

Standard tours stay deposit-free because most guests prefer a low-friction booking. A small deposit is only used for custom trips and transfers, where time and logistics need to be reserved in advance.
